Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 4 May 2026.
1. INTRODUCTION
We’re happy to see your interest in Backpack Israel’s trip planning service. By booking or purchasing any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
These Terms apply to all clients and govern the relationship between you (the "Client") and Backpack Israel (the "Planner").
2. SERVICES & PRODUCTS OFFERED
We provide three services and products:
2.1 Custom Itinerary Building
A fully personalized travel itinerary built from scratch based on your preferences, dates, budget, and travel goals. This service includes a virtual planning meeting to gather your requirements and align on the vision for your trip, as well as a follow-up virtual meeting to go over the itinerary. The final deliverable is a detailed, customized travel itinerary.
2.2 Itinerary Review
A professional review of a travel itinerary you have already prepared. The Planner will assess your existing itinerary and provide written corrections, suggestions, and recommendations to improve it.
2.3 Our services do not include booking attractions, hotels, restaurants, transportation or anything related to travel. You will need to book these on your own. In rare circumstances, the Planner may be able to provide booking services at an additional cost
2.3 Virtual Guides
Digital guides that can be accessed only through our Teachable store, covering travel destinations, routes, and planning tips. These guides include images and text, and in some cases audio files.
3. USE OF AI TOOLS
Backpack Israel may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist in the research, drafting, and optimization of itineraries. All AI-generated content is reviewed, curated, and finalized by the Planner - a human professional - before being delivered to the Client. The use of AI tools does not diminish the quality, care, or professional judgment applied to your itinerary.
4. BOOKING & PAYMENT
4.1 Services must be booked in advance and are confirmed only upon receipt of payment.
4.2 Pricing for each service will be communicated to the Client prior to booking via the Teachable product page. By completing payment, the Client agrees to the quoted price.
4.3 All prices are listed in Israeli Shekel (ILS).
4.4 The purchases of all our products and services are processed through Teachable's platform and are subject to Teachable's payment terms in addition to these Terms and Conditions. It is possible to contact us directly outside Teachable’s platform and pay us directly through a Paypal invoice.
5. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
5.1 Custom Itinerary Building
- Cancellations made before the virtual planning meeting takes place are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made after the planning meeting but before delivery of the itinerary are eligible for a 80% refund.
- No refund will be issued once the final itinerary has been delivered.
5.2 Itinerary Review
- All sales are final. No refund will be issued once payment has been made.
5.3 Virtual Guides
- All sales of digital guides are final. Due to the nature of digital products, no refunds will be issued once the guide has been delivered or made accessible through Teachable. We encourage you to read the product description carefully before purchasing.
5.4 Please note that purchases made through Teachable are also subject to Teachable's own refund policies.
6. VIRTUAL MEETINGS (RELEVANT TO CUSTOM ITINERARY SERVICE ONLY)
6.1 The virtual planning meeting will be scheduled at a mutually agreed time. It is the Client's responsibility to attend at the agreed time.
6.2 If the Client fails to attend the scheduled meeting without prior notice, the Planner reserves the right to reschedule at their discretion or proceed based on the information already provided. A rescheduling fee may apply.
6.3 In rare circumstances, the Planner may need to cancel or reschedule the meeting due to unforeseen events. In such cases, the Client will be notified as soon as possible and a new meeting will be arranged at a mutually convenient time at no additional cost to the Client.
6.4 The initial planning meeting will be conducted via Zoom or Google Meet and is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.
6.5 An additional follow-up meeting will take place after the Client receives the first version of the itinerary. It will last approximately 30 minutes.
7. REVISIONS
7.1 Custom Itinerary Building — The service includes one round of revisions following delivery of the draft itinerary. Additional revisions beyond this may be subject to an extra fee.
7.2 Itinerary Review — This service provides a single round of corrections and recommendations. It does not include ongoing revision of the Client's itinerary.
8. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
8.1 The Client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information (travel dates, number of travelers, budget, preferences, etc.). The Planner is not liable for errors or unsuitable recommendations resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the Client.
8.2 While every effort is made to ensure that recommendations are accurate and up to date, the Planner does not guarantee the availability, pricing, opening hours, or operating status of any third-party services (hotels, airlines, tours, attractions, restaurants, etc.). The Client is responsible for independently verifying all bookings.
8.3 Information contained in Virtual Guides is accurate at the time of publication. Travel information is subject to change, and the Planner is not liable for any inaccuracies arising after the guide's publication date. However, we do our best to keep our guides up-to-date.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
9.1 While we may recommend our own guiding and tour services as part of an itinerary, any such services are separate and governed by their own terms. Backpack Israel is not responsible for any cancellations, disruptions, losses, or damages arising from third-party travel providers or from any separately booked services.
9.2 Backpack Israel is not affiliated with or responsible for Teachable's platform, policies, or any technical issues arising from the use of Teachable. Any disputes related to the Teachable platform should be directed to Teachable's support team.
9.3 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to the Client shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in question.
9.4 We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our services or any travel itinerary or digital guide provided.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The itineraries and content produced by Backpack Israel are for the Client's personal use only. They may not be resold, redistributed, or published without prior written consent from the Planner.
11. PRIVACY
11.1 Any personal information provided by the Client will be used solely for the purpose of delivering the requested service and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.
11.2 Please note that purchases made through Teachable are subject to Teachable's own Privacy Policy.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Israel. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Israel.
13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Backpack Israel reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
